Hey Folks!
C'est très rare que j'ai des coups de coeur pour des chanteuses ou des groupes avec pour voix principale celle d'une femme,
pour la simple raison que les voix masculines me transportent beaucoup plus loin d'habitude.
Mais j'ai découvert récemment, ce bijoux de voix australien qu'est Julia Jacklin, qui a sorti ce mois-ci son nouvel album incroyable: Don't let the kids win.
C'est par hasard que je vois son nom sur un site, curieuse, je m'empresse de la googler et j'ouvre spotify et là, tombage en amour!

I seldom fall in love for female voices or bands with for lead singer a woman. For the only and simple reason that male voices usually touch me more, never really knew why.
But I freshly discovered the beautiful australian musical gemstone, Julia Jacklin, who offered us this month, her lovely new album: Don't let the kids win.
As luck would have it, I read her name on a website, curious, I immediately decided to google that girl, I open spotify and, instantly fell in love with that voice!
Je commence par écouter son tout nouveau single, Pool Party et l'enchantement est total, un coup de foudre immédiat pour cette voix très folk, légèrement country aussi et surtout très reconnaissable avec ses sublimes arrangements incroyables guitare-voix. Un doux moment magique qui m'a fait oublier que la pluie tombait dehors et m'a laissé me poser, à mon tour dans les Blue Mountains d'où elle est originaire.
Coming of Age m'entraîne autant que Leadlight et je me laisse emporter par la voix pleine de Julia.
Assez de bla-bla je vous laisse avec quelques titres, vous comprendrez vite de quoi je parle.
I start with her fresh new single, Pool Party which talks about substance abuse by the pool, and the enchantment starts. Love at first listen for this real folk and a bit country voice but most of all so much recognizable with her gorgeous arrangements guitar-voice. A tender moment which made me forget it was raining cats and dogs outside and let me travel aroud the blue mountains, where she's from.
Coming of Age moves me as much as Leadlight does it with her beautiful tremors she has in her sensitive voice.
Enough blah-blah, I'm leaving you ith a few songs of hers, you'll understand quite fast what I'm talking about.
